6 Years Of Music

This week marks 6 years of The Overload. It’s been tough these last few years, with the over saturation of the market, it’s become harder and harder to be heard. Everyone here on the team has had to take on more part time work and cut our hours here to keep the lights on, but we are still here! This year we plan on cutting out more of the noise. Less EDM, more Trance. Less mainstream, more quality. Back to what we started out as, the flamingo in the duck pond. Here’s to another 6 years!!

The Overload on DI.FM

The Overload officially makes it’s appearance on the world’s leading internet station: Digitally Imported. You can catch the Overload every Tuesday from 5-6PM EST, on the Club Sounds channel – di.fm/club. We join an already stellar lineup that includes Myon & Shane54, Paul Oakenfold, Hardwell and many other of the Top 100’s.

5 Years Overloadeded

This week marks 5 years for our little radio show. 5 years, 240 shows, over 24000 tracks, 132000 minutes of music and airplay on 3 continents! We have evolved over the years and hope we haven’t changed TOO much!! The Overload is about trance. It’s about beautiful moving music, with a touch of big club sound – but not too cheesy!!! We hope you enjoy our weekly show and see us as the delicate balance from too serious and that cheesy EDM that’s become so obnoxious! Thanks and here’s to another 5 years!!

IHU Records

One of the latest additions to the Armada realm of music, IHU Records is the record label and brainchild of Antillas. A label that mirrors the sound of the Italian producer, as well as the music he likes and plays and is, in a nutshell, the ‘enfant terrible’ of Armada. IHU Records won’t only bring the tracks of Antillas and his studio partner Dankann, but also introduces you to the productions of upcoming talents and renowned artists. With an eclectic sound that crosses the boundaries of trance, house, prog and more, IHU has something in stores for everyone! We at the Overload are very happy to support IHU’s releases!

Jee Productions

Armada Music is proud to announce their collaboration with Jee Productions, the record label of Jerome Isma-Ae. The German DJ and producer is the driving force behind the label, which kicked off in 2004 and has built a solid reputation in progressive house releases.

Isma-Ae, who had his first release in 1994, managed to build a significant sound that he holds for his originals and remixes, while still delivering variety. His back catalogue includes hits such as ‘Hold That Sucker Down’, ‘Smile When You Kill Me’ and ‘308’, as well as remixes for Faithless, Way Out West and Above & Beyond. Teaming up with Armada Music was a strategic choice to the passionate label-owner. Jerome Isma-ae: ”The sound of Jee combined with the force of Armada. This sounds like winning team. I’m looking forward to many sucessful years together!”.

The Overload is now proud to support Jee’s releases on our show! Welcome to the family!
